Escape the hustle and bustle of NYC and join Abhaya Yoga for a sunset yoga class that integrates postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to stretch, strengthen and condition. Classes run on Tuesdays, May 7-September 24, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Pier 3 Central Lawn.<\/span><\/p>\n Advanced registration and waiver is required. Note, we are opening registration by the month (opens at start of the month for all classes that month). Registration involves two steps \u2014 once you complete registration (found on each event page), you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to an online waiver which must be completed before you can participate in our fitness programming. Individuals who have not completed a waiver will not be permitted to join.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Do you provide mats?<\/p>\n If possible, please bring your own. An extremely limited number of yoga mats are available to borrow at Conservancy welcome tables for yoga classes.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n How many spots can I reserve?<\/p>\n Individuals may only register for one spot per class. Those who book multiple spots for one class will have their excess reservations removed.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Is there an age limit to participate?<\/p>\n There is no age limit to participate, but children and teens under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All ages and abilities are welcome.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Are pesticides used on the lawns or elsewhere in Brooklyn Bridge Park?<\/p>\n No, all of Brooklyn Bridge Park is managed ecologically and organically<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Are there public restrooms?<\/p>\n Yes, there are restrooms at Pier 6<\/a> at Fornino<\/a> and in Quay Tower; in the Boathouse<\/a> in the Pier 5 Uplands<\/a>, in the orange building on Pier 2<\/a>, under Squibb Bridge<\/a>; at Empire Stores<\/a> in Empire Fulton Ferry, and in 99 Plymouth Environmental Education Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Is there a lost and found?<\/p>\n Yes, if you find an item in the Park you can give it to any Park staff member or drop it off at our office at 334 Furman Street (near Pier 5<\/a>). There are no lockers near Pier 4<\/a> and we will not be able to watch anyone\u2019s personal belongings.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Do I have to make a reservation?<\/p>\n Yes.<\/strong> This advanced registrations help us manage the crowd.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n How long can I paddle for?<\/p>\n You can expect to be on the water for around 20 minutes. Everyone is required to return at the end of that time period.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Is kayaking ever canceled?<\/p>\n Yes, kayaking may be canceled due to inclement weather or conditions. Check the Alerts & Updates<\/a> page, but be aware that conditions on-site can change rapidly, requiring cancelation without notice.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Is kayaking free?<\/p>\n Yes, kayaking in Brooklyn Bridge Park is completely free.<\/strong> The Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse runs on the generosity of our volunteers<\/a> and your donations<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n Kayaking Age Restrictions<\/p>\n What if I fall in?<\/p>\n Our kayaks are pretty stable and people rarely fall into the water. However, if you do fall in we have safety boaters on the water to help you get back in.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n What if I\u2019ve never kayaked before?<\/p>\n No problem! Beginners are welcome.<\/strong> The staff will explain all you need to know before heading out on the water.
