BSE Global and IMG partner to bring the first ever ice rink to Brooklyn Bridge Park
BROOKLYN (October 4, 2023) – BSE Global and IMG – two leaders in the sports and entertainment industry – today announced that ‘Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park’ will debut this fall. Together they have created a new partnership with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation (BBP) to launch the first ever ice rink in the park. With tickets on sale from October 6, ‘Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park‘ will provide the ultimate winter gathering place for both the local Brooklyn community and visitors from all over the world.
‘Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park’ will be located at the Emily Warren Roebling Plaza and open to the public beginning November 15 through March 1. The new ice rink will showcase spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline and be positioned alongside the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Glide will also offer an extraordinary selection of food and beverage from DUMBO’s Time Out Market, one of the most exciting culinary offerings in the city.
“Ice Skating beside the Brooklyn Bridge has been part of the plan since before park construction began in 2008, and we’re thrilled to see this coming to life, providing long awaited winter recreation against a beautiful and historic backdrop,” said Eric Landau, Brooklyn Bridge Park President. “We’re especially excited to offer some reduced and free skate sessions for NYC residents, and we want to thank BSE Global and IMG for their commitment to this project and our partnership.”
Glide will reinvest in the local community by offering 12,000 free tickets to local NYC residents throughout the season, courtesy of BBP. The tickets will be available in limited quantities every Sunday morning from 9 – 11 a.m. and on Tuesday afternoons from 4 – 6 p.m. Local residents will also have access to a number of discounted tickets during both peak and off-peak hours.
Additionally, Glide and BBP will be working with various underserved community groups and schools to provide free tickets throughout the season.
