Bird lovers flocking to Brooklyn Bridge Park have spotted over 120 species of birds visiting the Park.

Among the birds you might expect to see are Peregrine falcons, various wading birds, shorebirds and other waterfowl. Rambling through different areas of the park lets you explore several ecologies up close, in a way that minimizes human impact on new habitat.

Birds like to visit the salt marsh on Pier 1, the meadow on Pier 6 and natural habitats on Pier 4. BBP Birder Extraordinaire, Heather Wolf, runs The Birds of Brooklyn Bridge Park, a blog where she documents the different species she encounters in the park.
